Anquinita “Nita” Cochran
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, M.Ed., NCC)
My name is Anquinita “Nita” Cochran and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina (SC) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina (NC). I have been working as a professional counselor for about five years now and I love what I do.
I got my start working with adolescents in middle schools as an after-school counselor where I provided youths with social, emotional, and academic supports. I loved my role so much so that I wanted to solidify my position further in assisting students and their families with life’s changes. Hence, I attended The Citadel Graduate College and obtained my Masters of Education in Counselor Education with Specialization in Secondary Education.
After being awarded my degree, I worked in positions that were awarding, challenging, and yet fulfilling. As a new counselor, I was able to further my abilities to ensure that these young people and their families were secure emotionally and mentally in their life’s transition. Furthermore, my works ignited a realization that I needed to broaden my abilities to be able to assist ALL of those in need by helping to alleviate daily ails when and wherever possible. I obtained my Licensed Professional Counseling credential for SC in 2016 to be able to do so. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have gained the ability to address, treat, and lessen a millieu of concerns and issues suffered by clients from adolescents to adulthood. I would love the opportunity to consult and forge a therapeutic relationship where I can address, treat, and lessen your ails in hopes that you are able to return back to those things that bring joy and fulfillment to your life.
